Joiya Retreat No. 001 La Joya Sayulita, Mexico October 8–13, 2026

An Invitation

"Joy is not as a reward for doing.
It is the practice itself."

Joiya is a space for women who are ready to come home to themselves. A gathering for softening, for returning, for remembering what it feels like to be held by something larger than your to-do list. Through curiosity, exploration, intentional movement, and rest, we meet ourselves again.

This retreat is not about optimizing your body or achieving some elevated version of yourself. It is about arriving, exactly as you are, and discovering that was always enough.

What You'll Experience

Five practices.
One return to self.

01

Yoga & Pilates

Sculpt-style Pilates and intentional yoga flows — the same practice our community loves, now oceanside. All levels, all bodies, always invited.

02

Somatic Work

Body-based practices that go beneath the physical — releasing, listening, and remembering what your body already knows.

03

Guided Journaling

Intentional prompts and quiet space to process, reflect, and hear yourself more clearly. The inner work that makes the outer work stick.

04

Ceremony & Sisterhood

Intentional opening and closing ceremonies, ritual moments woven throughout — practices to anchor you in presence and close the container with meaning.

05

Rest

Unhurried afternoons for the ocean, the hammock, the pool, the book you haven't opened. Radical, intentional rest.

Your Retreat Sanctuary

La Joya Sayulita.
Where the jungle
meets the sea.

A boutique resort perched on Sayulita's jungle-draped hillside, with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Mornings begin with sunlit movement overlooking the waves. Afternoons invite you to rest in nature's embrace. Evenings close with nourishing meals and real connection.

Just at the end of a cobblestone road from the surf pueblo of Sayulita — close enough to explore, far enough to exhale. Steam room, sauna, saltwater pool, and gardens that make you want to slow down and stay.

Breathwork or Free Time

Afternoon Rest

Explore Sayulita's cobblestone streets, visit the sauna, or simply rest. This is retreat, not a schedule.

Evening Practice

A grounding ritual, somatic session, or bonfire gathering — evenings have their own rhythm here.

Your Guide

Jess.

Registered Yoga Teacher  ·  Certified Pilates Instructor
Somatic Wellness Practitioner  ·  Founder, Joiya Wellness & Retreats

I built Joiya Wellness around one belief: that women deserve to experience joy as a way of being, not a reward for hard work. Not something earned at the end of the to-do list. Not something saved for vacation. A practice. A posture. A right.

I'm Jessica Acy — fitness instructor, retreat host, and a woman who has walked the long road back to herself more than once. As a mom, wife, and business owner, I know what it feels like to pour from an empty cup, to move through life on autopilot, to forget that joy was ever really yours to keep.

This retreat exists because I needed it first.

Joiya is the soft place I've built for you — a space to exhale, to move with intention, to be held by other women, and to remember the light that never actually left.

I can't wait to meet you in Sayulita.

From the Community

What women say
about being in Jess's space.

★★★★★

"We met at yoga teacher training and have been soul-connected ever since. She brings such an authentic, loving, refreshing energy to every room she is in — especially a movement space. She's been making waves in teaching self-love and fitness in a way that actually sticks. Joiya is so Jess."

— Zuda Yoga Graduate

★★★★★

"She lives and walks in her truth, and because of that, the women around her have the courage to do the same."

— Christina, Dallas

★★★★★

"The way she shows up for her people — in class and in life — makes you feel like you're part of something real. She is a voice of encouragement and a presence that radiates warmth. Not only is she beautiful on the outside, but her spirit is equally as gorgeous. I can't think of a better person to hold space for women who are ready to go on retreat."
